Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is a mercurial music producer and singer, who mixes the soul of gospel and jazz with R&B in a signature mix. From Broadway to European festival and clubs, Sunshine has performed everywhere. Sunshine was born Denise White. She hails from Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her career in music by playing the piano and singing in the church. In Atlanta she went to Spellman College where her musical instruction began with the Atlanta's R&B Scene. She was named the principal keyboardist for Tyler Perry's musical Meet the Browns in 2005. In 2007, Grammy and Tony Award-winning singer Jennifer Holliday sought her out to become the choral director for the stage production of Dreamgirls at the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine received national attention for 4 performances a day during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was chosen to perform as part of Obama's inaugural ceremony in 2009.
