Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell has worked as a chef, TV presenter in the US and an instructor at Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host with spiky blond wigs and a pumped-up persona, shows how to prepare restaurant-style meals at home using simple methods. Chef Burrell has worked in some of the top eateries in New York, studied the cuisine and culture of Italy, and battled on Food Network's Iron Chef America. While living in the New York's Upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step when she earned an Associate of Arts degree in English as well as Communications in the fall of 2004 from Canisius College Buffalo NY. I loved every minute during my time of The Culinary Institute of America she declares. I could not learn or do enough. After graduation, chef Burrell spent a period of time in Italy taking classes at Italy's Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin-starred restaurant in Tuscany. While in Italy she was able to fully comprehend and appreciate the philosophy behind Italian food and culture that made a lasting impression from a culinary viewpoint. Burrell is a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens the lives of children facing difficulties. She also serves as a Juvenile diabetes research foundation Celebrity Ambassador. she advocates for children with diabetes and awareness. As a guest speaker and teacher Burrell travels throughout the US to talk about her love for cooking and career. Anne has stated throughout her professional career she's grateful to have the opportunity to communicate with people what is most important to her.
